Common Questions Answered

What is mindfulness exactly?

It is a secular practice of staying present and noticing your thoughts without judgment. We offer a grounded approach for everyday life.

Is it religious or spiritual?

No. Our classes are secular and practical. While mindfulness has deep roots, we focus on accessible techniques for the modern world.

Who are these classes for?

Everyone. Whether you want to quiet a busy mind or find more focus, our small groups welcome all levels and backgrounds.

How large are the groups?

To keep sessions personal and supportive, we limit our groups to a maximum of 12 people. This ensures a calm, intimate environment.

Can I try a single session?

Yes. You can join a drop-in session to experience our teaching style before committing to the full 10-week mindfulness program.

What should I bring along?

Just wear comfortable clothes. We provide all mats and cushions. You are welcome to bring a notebook for your personal reflections.

What if I miss a class?

No problem. While the 10-week course is progressive, each session is designed to stand alone so you can easily rejoin the group.

Do I have to share?

Never. This is not group therapy. Sharing is always optional, and there is no pressure to speak unless you feel comfortable doing so.

What if I fall asleep?

It happens often when the body finally relaxes. There is no judgment; simply rejoin the practice whenever you naturally wake up.

I am not sure I am good at this

There is no right or wrong way to practice. Simply showing up is enough. Your ability to be present will grow naturally over time.
